Bajrangbali Seated, One Hand in Blessing and a Gada in the Other

Hanuman ji shown seated rather than in the usual flying or kneeling pose, calm instead of mid-action. One hand is raised in abhaya mudra, the gesture of assurance, and the other holds his gada. The seated form is what gives this idol its stillness.

It is carved from Kadamba wood, entirely by hand. The detailing runs through the crown, the garland, the folds of the dress and the mace, and the face is worked carefully enough to carry both the calm and the strength the deity is known for.
