This Wooden Jharokha Wall Decor is carved in the shape of a traditional Rajasthani palace window and finished in copper antique oxidation. It hangs as a wall piece on its own, or works as a frame.

Hang It Empty, or Put a Mirror Inside

The opening in the middle is the useful part. Left as it is, the carved window reads as a sculpture against the wall. Fit a mirror into it and it becomes an entryway mirror with a carved surround; fit a painting or a photograph and it becomes a frame no shop sells. That decision is yours after it arrives, which is unusual for a decor piece.

Carving and finish

The jharokha is hand-carved with the latticework and detailing of the Rajasthani original, then given a copper antique oxidised finish. The aged metallic tone is what lets it sit in a modern room as comfortably as an ethnic one.
