An Ashoka Stambh Carved Where the Cap Would Be
The National Emblem sits at the top of this pen, carved into the wood rather than moulded or stuck on. Four lions back to back, cut small enough to crown a pen and still be recognisable, which is the whole difficulty of the piece.
At 20cm it is longer than an ordinary pen, and it is meant to be. Stood upright in a desk holder the carving stays visible, so it works as a desk piece that also writes.

Corporate and formal gifting
The emblem makes this a natural choice for government offices, award ceremonies and formal presentations, where something Indian-made and unmistakably symbolic is wanted. It is also given at retirements and work anniversaries.
