Maa Durga Murti

Durga Standing Before a Carved Arch, in Golden Oxidized Metal

Maa Durga shown standing, framed by an arch that rises behind and around her. The arch is what gives this murti its presence, it closes the figure in the way a temple niche would, so the idol looks settled rather than exposed on an open shelf.

The metal carries a golden oxidized finish, darker in the recesses and brighter on the raised work, which picks out the weapons, the ornaments and the detailing of the arch.

Details

• Material: Metal
• Finish: Golden oxidized
• Dimensions: 23 x 20 x 10 cm
• Form: Standing Durga with arch backdrop
• Care: Wipe with a dry cloth

Where to keep it

The height and the arch make it a main idol rather than a side piece, so a home temple or a dedicated pooja shelf suits it best. It also holds a living room showcase on its own.

Gifting

Navratri is the obvious occasion, but it is also given at housewarmings and birthdays where a strong, protective deity is the intent behind the gift.
