Bamboo Basket Wind Chime — Jali Cotton with Brass Bell

This wind chime is made using a bamboo basket as the base, covered with jali (net) cotton fabric and finished in antique white with gold medallion work. Three such baskets are strung together in a cascading line, connected by star-shaped metal pieces from which small brass bells hang. Multicolour felt and wooden beads are added between the tiers, and a brass cow bell sits at the bottom.

The jali fabric gives each basket a light, open texture. The bamboo underneath keeps the shape firm. Together they make a piece that is sturdy but not heavy — easy to hang and easy to move if needed.
