The Candle Hides Inside the Elephant's Body

The holder is concealed in the belly of the elephant rather than sitting on the base, and the whole body is cut in lattice netting. Light a tealight and there is no visible flame, only the pattern coming out through the cutwork and landing on the table and the wall behind.

The elephant stands with its trunk raised, worked in metal by hand. Unlit, the netting reads as a decorative openwork figure, so it does not look like an empty candle stand during the day.

Where it works
