Glass, Ceramic, Stone and Mirror, All on One Globe
The surface is not glass alone. Ceramic chips, small stones and mirror fragments are set in among the coloured glass, and each material does something different with the light. The glass glows through in colour, the ceramic blocks it into solid shapes, and the mirrors throw hard bright flecks onto the ceiling.
The round shape sends all of that outward in every direction at once, so the lamp fills a room rather than lighting one wall. Set it in the middle of a table and the patterns land on all sides.

When it earns its place
Birthdays, anniversaries, weddings and festival evenings, when the main lights go down and the mosaic does the work. Day to day it sits as a coloured glass piece on a side table or study desk.
