Two stages of work go into the cover. The wood is carved by hand, and decorative pieces are then set onto the surface, so the front has both depth from the carving and raised detail sitting above it. Run a thumb across it and you feel the difference.

At 8cm square it slips into a purse, a clutch or a coat pocket and is meant to be pulled out through the day rather than kept on a dressing table.
